Playing video games provides a substitute for a feeling of accomplishment and progress in my life

Art Progress

The HUD is mostly functional at this point!

(Prolly best to ignore the armcannon design for now, probably gonna redo it sometime soonish ^^')

I'm a good person and people love me because I help them

is there a decent tool for backing up all your tweets including all media?

the official tweet backup doesn't even work, the html file shows blank for every month recorded (csv might be ok but the text is less important to me than the media)

I want to make an account on another instance, but... I don't know what I'd put there

I've never really done well with multiple accounts

upset again

hghrhgrhg there's no way to compile the map into a playable file

aaaaaaaa I'm in a brush based level editor again and it's fantastic hhhhhhh

less upset

I found yamagi quake 2 and it works for playing the game!

now to see if I can set it up for level editing...

upset

quake 2 crashes half the time I launch it

and even when it does launch, it can't do mouse input properly

gripes about japanese writing

I hate hiragana because it's ALMOST sensible but it's not actually and has all these annoying inconsistencies

like, it's so close to having a very easy to learn system where all the syllables with an /a/ vowel have a certain symbol structure, and all the syllables with /k/ have a certain shape

but a bunch of letters mess it up

and then also sometimes they use the wrong symbol for certain things??? for no reason???

I just realised that quake 3 doesn't have any enemies you can place down to make a fun singleplayer action level because it's a multiplayer only game

so I'm downloading and setting up quake 2 instead, because that gives me somewhere to start

played a bunch of quake 3 because I wanna get back into editing levels using ✨ brush-based level editors ✨

it's not really the kinda game I'd spend ages playing, but it should be fun to make some weird levels and then try and packaged them up into some kinda story
