@tinymira wow i've literally never seen anyone unironically use a11y as ally

it's neither accessible or being an ally llol

gonna start inventing words on my own and then calling people uncultured for not knowing what they mean

i sure hope everyone properly credits distressedegg for their avatars so i can block every single one of them

loving the vague "pixelfed is being threatened with legal action" without any more information, coming from the scrappy guys who thought carbon copying apple's photos app icon wasn't that big of a deal

i'm all for saying fuck you to big corp but the vague post is just FUD scrambling for free PR

found an ebay seller with these ones which have TTL, RS485 and RS232 which is wonderful, but it's a whole 10 pounds 😬

is there a single small board like these that has both an FT232 and a MAX232 together to convert USB to true RS232 serial, not TTL?

@thatKomputerKat that's weird, i'm pretty sure windows doesn't try to use the wifi if wired is already connected

what are you going to do with two interfaces in a desktop environment anyway

does anyone have any remaining software/peripherals for the original Valiant Roamer LOGO turtles? Valiant themselves, being mostly direct suppliers to schools and not individuals, haven't been too helpful. we have one, but not the pen attachment, or the serial cable, and i'd like to put it to better use :boost_ok:

someone explain to me why does linux always connect to a wifi if i'm already hooked into wired ethernet

where's that "fucked up drop table genders" collection. i have a new entry.

if you wanna put a smile on my face go visit maple.pet/tech look at the stuff i do and recommend me for job positions or toss cash my way because i haven't had a job for 8 months now ko-fi.com/squirrel

feeling rotten! at the self-imposed vacation from being unemployed

imo @mavica_again could make a living just about tech – and . i saw a series of Discord posts it made about Tec Toy (a South American toy & electronics company that basically bullied Sega and Nintendo into sweetheart deals in the 80s and 90s) and it was one million times more interesting than reading another white dude's blog post about maximizing productivity with Obsidian on the iPad or whatever. someone get it a posting more cool shit!

Twitter functioned as an emotion absorber/reflector/refractor/amplifier/outlet for a lot of people for a long time. Replacements doesn’t work quite the same. You find yourself without a firstline coping mechanism. It’s ultimately a healthy reset but it can be hard. You’re adjusting to sitting with yourself more and re-learning other ways of managing what bubbles up all the time. I think it’s profoundly healthy, surprisingly challenging.

I can imagine it being excruciatingly difficult for some.
