@johnbloorprintmaker@beige.party is that the link speed to your router? if so that's already better than mine

i am not talking about internet speed

can anyone tell me what i can use that's the size of a GoPro and can live stream to OBS or similarly work as a wireless webcam and costs less than a hundred pounds or doesn't need a monthly subscription to do so :boost_ok:

@johnbloorprintmaker@beige.party i remember new pcmcia cards that promised 54Mbps with windows 98 compatibility back in 2003

why is it that the more you know about tech the less it seems to work for you

Show thread

it is 2024 and my phone has a link speed of 28Mbps to a wifi router not two walls away from it

turns out you can buy an entire ass gopro hero 7 and still not be able to livestream from it without dishing out monthly money to gopro

"remember when it was the 80s and there were no manuals or walkthroughs" reeks of 2000s kid whose oldest game they only ever played was pokemon fire red through a rom downloaded from a website that probably gave them twelve viruses

@lafp in the end though i just ended up learning how to chroot with qemu to cross-compile for armhf

@lafp that explains it - this image already had libsdl2-dev marked as installed without me having to do it. so it probably did it like so because of a prior setup, or to avoid downloading files (this is a pre-packaged linux for a handheld system)

dpkg -L libsdl2-dev
[...]
/usr/include/SDL2/SDL.h

libsdl2-dev is already the newest version (2.0.10+dfsg1-1ubuntu1).
and yet
ls: cannot access '/usr/include/SDL2/SDL.h': No such file or directory
can someone make this make sense?

whoooooooops

The images issue has been temporarily fixed, but there's still a lot of work left for making it permanently fixed. Our storage issue has gone from "stuff is breaking" to "kind of cramped."

There's nothing to be done for it except keep using this instance normally and please have patience if anything breaks again in the next few days.
:computerfairies:

Also, thank you all for your patience. :heart_cyber:
