a big reason i use linux is because it gives me Control over the computer. no windows dark pattern spying shit. i can set up everything to look and function exactly how i want. but every couple months there's a package update that overrides or changes something so it no longer works how i configured it. they just reached in and broke something i worked hard on. and i have no choice in this, because you need to eventually update packages to install new ones. i don't really feel in Control at all

it's 2025 and i'm still begging people to use "smooth" instead of "sharp" antialiasing on text being rendered at any angle other than 0 and 90 degrees

maybe if i set up my posts to be deleted after x period of time i start thinking about social media as the ephemera that it is and make proper blog posts more often
i think the last time i tried playing terraria before playing it with our polycule now was when i still had a computer with a CRT monitor
turns out terraria is pretty fun once you get over the trauma of groups of acquaintances running circles around you and laughing at your inability to find even the most common of ores
still haven't seen any bosses though
