@lexbailey look at the guy's last replies. i think he's put an auto-reply gpt on his account

i don’t get why, if you like the work of a known predator, do you need to keep calling the victims of that predator a liar and attacking them?
like can’t you just consume that media without acting like you have to protect the moral purity of it, or protect the creepy person that made it?

jesus i thought the post about discord monetizing fontfaces was a joke

I really do wish Mozilla would wake up one day and decide that Google and Microsoft are examples of what **not** to do to the only remaining alternative browser capable of accessing the modern excuse for the World Wide Web.

End of Japanese community at Mozilla due to the introduction of AI-based translation.

The community members have expressed disappointment and frustration that their long term volunteer efforts and local knowledge were being replaced by machine translation, which they felt did not match the quality of human provided support.

This is why Mozilla sucks so much, they are going crazy like rest of the industry.

@jk no way you can have performant syntax highlighting with that little resources

i've been working on adding sound to my Lua firmware

the last addition was time base correction, calculate how long since the last buffer fill the next play calls happened to delay the inclusion in the buffer, that way the pacing of the sound matches the pacing of when the calls were made rather than the pacing of the start of each buffer repeat

not having a lot of kind thoughts about seeing the people who ostracized me start to get into the same things as me

@lion my wife got new sony ones just in time for nov 5th, they were already popping fireworks here last night and she genuinely thought they'd stopped the moment she put her headphones on

there should be a game jam called jamuary. and it's ran in april

great i'm having an issue where repeating timers work fine on RP2040 but don't trigger on RP2350 unless i'm actively debugging with OpenOCD inwhich case they don't show anything wrong with them at alland all i can find are people having the opposite issue where timers don't run while debugging and so nobody else has the same issue as me as is usual with computers and i will never find the solution to it

The kde-www mailing list via KDE.org, thread "No X under social media.", reply by Paul Brown on Tue Oct 28 10:22:52 GMT 2025: mail.kde.org/pipermail/kde-www

TLDR: KDE quit Twitter & refuse to go back because it became a brand "X" nazi bar & huge liability to KDE's community.

@Kavus i just remember it needing voice files it didn't provide, nor them being easy to being found. MBROLA has gotten a lot more commonplace since the last time i tried it

@jaseg thanks, aware of it but the price is prohibitive for me atm, and i'm not sure if the VST format will be easy for me to integrate into anything but a musical DAW

@Kavus i remember trying it some ~10 years ago and it not producing any output (due to my not figuring out how to set it up properly as i seem to remember the documentation at the time being very academic and requiring prior knowledge)

i'll take a look at it again but i'm hoping for raw voice synthesizers rather than something that uses pre-recorded voice databases as a source
