@The4thCircle surprise, you are a minority! especially among indie game devs and modders!

loving all the link rot generated by people who trusted cdn.discordapp.com as file storage

i love to have a large metal spike explosively shoved through my human brain

catastrophizing again with not a single soul around me to calm me down

so yes i will continue to call the X (Formerly Twitter) website X (Formerly Twitter) since that is X (Formerly Twitter)'s official title

Show thread

no it's not discord's fault. this is "X (Formerly Twitter)"'s actual opengraph metadata. they always called themselves "X (Formerly Twitter)", it wasn't others who came up with it out of spite.

Show thread

"stop calling it twitter or formerly twitter we get it call it x and move on" friend their own embed cards still call it twitter

re: x; twitter; elon musk

@lmorchard it wasn't other people doing it. the website's own embed card called it "X (Formerly Twitter)".

still don't understand what is the social point, what you are trying to communicate, by only liking a post on which someone has asked a question and asked for boosts on

"hey how do i do xyz?" "haha great post man"

this is almost worse than people liking my suicidal posts

wouldn't it be great if fediverse software knew when to fetch all the parts of a remote thread like say if you're trying to look at it in your local instance i mean it knows enough that it's part of a thread to change a measly reply icon into two arrows instead of one surely it should be np-complete to be able to know to fetch the rest of that thread too so you don't have to go chasing it down in another domain

I think it’s really cute and popular enough that anybody would want to kill myself. please don't talk to me.

me: hmm let’s have a look, which library should i use?

library A: it’s 1c1h. one c file, one header file

library B: to build this repo you need to install GluoOn, a fork of MoonOn, a build system based on the Ploob ecosystem. Edit the Ploob intermediates for your platform and include them in the XJAMELLE files. XJAMELLE is a post-Turing-complete configuration solution based on JSON, YAML and XML. To get familiar with the language, i recommend these books: note that these are affiliate links,

better question: is there any text to speech that doesn't use neural networks or other types of classic or newly-labelled AI or did that stop with dectalk?

yes i expect worse sounding results :boost_ok:

Show thread

is there some list of offline-only text-to-speech tools one could peruse if they were looking for a voice for themself :boost_ok:
