A reminder that the deadline for illegal content risk assessments under the UK's #OnlineSafetyAct is 16 March, so just a couple of weeks away.

Ofcom has some tools, and I've been documenting what I can at https://onlinesafetyact.co.uk/, including some template/sample assessments, in the hope that they are helpful. All licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

Question: is geoblocking the UK an acceptable alternative?

Ofcom: we want UK citizens to enjoy access to a wide range of online services. We do not want people to block the UK market. If a service feels that the best way to comply is to geoblock the UK, that is sufficient to meet the regulations.

I'm in the process of playing PS1 in the form of a quality-of-life improvement ROM hack and am having a (mostly) enjoyable time! The JRPG battles are pretty simple, the story is interesting, and the music is pretty good!
