UK folks: Please write to your MP and ask them to request the Supreme Court of the UK to grant "Castellucci v Gender Recognition Panel" permission to appeal.

I'm seeking a Gender Recognition Certificate matching my birth certificate based on a straightforward reading of the Gender Recognition Act.

hi fuck LLMs fuck you if you use LLMs to make funny content for the internet favourites/likes

i am Officially once again developing for the Sega Mega Drive

Fedilore Factcheck™:

- WelshPixie is a white person, living in the UK. Previously, she lived in South Africa.

- The person that WelshPixie is accusing of racism is not white.

- Making fun of WelshPixie is not racism. In fact, it is fun and easy to do.

you know when you get a really aged bit of rubber or leather and you try to bend it and it just cracks and crumbles

that's how i feel trying to get anything done today

I have a very old hand scanner lying around that has drivers for Windows 3.11. For it to work, it has to be calibrated by scanning a calibration sheet from the manual, which I don't have. (found nothing on the net either)
Scanning anything does satisfy the software, but the calibration is way off then. It looks fine while scanning, but when it applies the calibration, it messes everything up.

But I found a solution. :) 🧵 1/X

maybe i'm just rusty (robot pun) but i feel it's increasingly hard to get started on a project anymore. i wish i could get my executive dysfunction and lack of focus patched out

i used to be able to write a game in like a week by doing everything "wrong". now i feel obligated to write out several data structures and plan complicated movement logic before i can even put a sprite on the screen. i hate this. i want my 14 year old circuits back

i am so sick of flat design. i need to put gradients and bevels on things more. i will be the change i want to see in the web

i already don't have a support structure here. i already barely have friends on the fediverse. i have nothing to lose by being loud and annoying about meta that is actively harming us every single day. i'm done being polite

Show thread

i'm tired of being quiet and orderly under the fear that people will get away from me if i'm anything but

if i'm annoying you by being myself don't let the door hit you on the way out

if i see a single person in my spaces and championing iftas, nivenly, thebadpsace, elekk or are0h after all these events, i will block you on sight.

iftas, nivenly and thebadspace are nothing short of transphobic organizations made with the single only purpose of "cleaning up" the fediverse of us. don't let them

Show thread

it's times like these i'm actually extremely proud for our instance computer fairies to be on thebadspace blocklist

to be on a blocklist that was made with the single, only, express purpose to be transphobic against us, means that we're doing something right

Meta: References about anti-transgender abuse, fediverse gentrification. Death threats, CSA, every warning.

I joined the Fediverse in 2018, but only became highly active in 2023.
The state of the transgender community was some terminally diseased bullshit: you could disrupt federation by throwing the name of any trans girl you dislike to #Fediblock with nothing more than accusations of social adjacency to the wrong people. Destroy hundreds of connections over trumped-up charges. Many of my dear friends are no longer on the network because of this.

I found the network split into two hermetic clusters i like to call Tech Mastodon and Queer Fedi. The first is barely aware of the second, eager to gentrify it, and to speak over us.

I have written about these topics at length, and taken action about them.

I wrote an article that focuses on a nonprofit named #IFTAS, due to their penchant for enabling abuse against us - this is a very long article, and the next links are more summarized:
https://aria.dog/barks/ethics-in-transgenderism/

Once I learned the #FediForum virtual conference was co-organized by a transphobe, me and friends dug up all the receipts in time, before they were concealed. I delivered an uninvited counter-talk, which is a good summary of our dysfunctional social dynamics:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy5O2LjeuDY

You might prefer to read this transcript: https://aria.dog/barks/mastodon-trust-and-safety-at-the-terf-conference/

The transcript also contains a section about death threats I received about this video, which US nonprofit companies i criticized multiple times, #Nivenly and #IFTAS, decided not to take action about, despite platforming the person who made those threats. IFTAS, in particular, had a previous history of transphobic death threats from its staff, and tried to conceal the evidence. Meanwhile, Nivenly used the name of a dead trans woman to deflect accountability, then said the death threats didn’t happen.

So long as death threats are in play, i have no inclination to be civil: my community’s penchant for civility is the reason we are easy to speak over.

Do not follow me to keep up with those topics, try @fedilore instead. Me, i just pop out of random wells to chastise you, without warning, and will try to keep my activity mostly away from this account.

BTW: Queers always keep receipts, and we’ll be gay much longer than gentrifiers will be solvent.
