M5Sound now can load samples from SD card

here it is playing a 3 MB sample with 1024 bytes for the I2S buffer and 256 bytes for the file buffer

not as impressive as it could be considering this is on top of (at least tested so far) 4-channel software mixing for playback that i'm not demonstrating here

this is a machine with less than 200 KB free for the micropython stack

then again i have no idea who's been maintaining glitch-soc since the last time i saw bea in like 2018 or so, so.

Show thread

it would be SO easy for glitch-soc to hack in functionality for no-reply and no-favourite options in posts. all you need to do is check if those flags are set and return an error to remote instances that try to reply or favourite. we already got the local-only hack that makes posts not federate, can we please have this next

@datarama yes! i keep saying this and people stare at me like i'm some kind of demon

hmm i forgot i can't post anything i don't want liked on mastodon because humans take "i like that you're feeling bad" to mean support somehow

@JProl i don't understand how humans interact in this platform and the non sequiturs really upset my circuits.

can someone please explain to me the utility of favouriting a post on mastodon in which the poster has asked a question

i need to migrate an entire website's template from bootstrap 2 class names to bootstrap 5 class names. is there a tool to help with that. is there something i can enable in my developer console to see all instances of a DOM object being given a class that has no matching CSS

hello mavica! i used to know you on discord for a while and then we were twitter mutuals. i hope you're doing well and still making cool stuff — hello i have no idea who you are. thanks retrospring.net/@maple_syrup/a

starting to see people use "png" to implicitly mean "with transparent background" just like we use "gif" to implicitly mean "with animation"

You've heard of putting echo "Segmentation fault" in someone's .profile

Now get ready for replacing their xyzCalibration_cube.stl with thingiverse.com/thing:6475434/
