I slightly regret buying an Akai APC Key 25 because I thought I could make fun use of the RGB button matrix but it's really only supported through Ableton, and despite the manual suggesting how to interface with it directly the information is partial at best and a customer support rep told me it's "confidential", hilariously enough.

What 25-key sized MIDI controllers do people like? I like the layout of the Akai MPK mini but I'd like to check out more options.

i am looking for a database of video games, or a way to scrape to build one

initially, i need:

  • title
  • genre
  • platform (aiming for DS for starters)
  • release date
  • region
  • boxart is a nice-to-have i can figure out how to get separately

i have looked at: gametdb, thegamesdb, launchbox, rawg. for different reasons (the biggest one being erroneous data) they don't work for me. the most accurate data come from sources i can't easily scrape (like mobygames)
