@mavica it’s less that i’m confused about specific issues and more that i’m frustrated with the general inaccessibility of using mastodon if (like me) you aren’t familiar with the underlying structures that it operates on
@wren yeah my issue is more that it's kind of difficult and opaque to like, find the people that i want to follow, or understand why people can't find me sfsdf
@wren yeah that's basically the only thing i can do at this point
it's just very obvious that this was built by developers without the kind of oversight that would ensure that it has an accessible experience for users who aren't developers themselves... the non-thought of computer engineers. which isn't the worst thing ever but it's hard to transition from a product designed to be used by any idiot with a computer to smth that requires me to like, understand it
@starscream i think the UI is similar enough to twitter where i can sidestep this just by avoiding any larger congregations of people but i understand... mainly my issues are kind of like, functionalities that aren't there bc it's independently developed w/o a large company to like, smooth the edges for mass usership. which is both good and bad
@troubleMoney oh i see ty!
@troubleMoney i was thinking of my personal social circle mainly but that’s true as well... little social pockets
you know him
