the whole premise of 'change your mind' really is like, a queer person telling their parents, i will let you get to know me if you just talk to me.

this whole show is about connecting and communicating. it's about facing your problems and dealing with them, moving on from them.

at the start of the show the gems are steven's caretakers. by the end, they're his friends. because they didn't run away, didn't repress, didn't hide.

it's beautiful. there's really nothing else like it

Why do tomatoes always get so hot when heated? All the rest of the food cools down normally but tomatoes are still too hot

I have guess for how this is physically possible but not sure if it's true

Junk mail with an envelope that says "please recycle". Maybe you could please stop wasting paper instead?

When playing Mario Kart 8, I was confused why my mental model of how I would drift was so different from how my bike actually drifted... But then I decided to play a little 200 cc offline just to try it out, and *that* had drifting just like how I was expecting! I didn't know it was so different between speed classes

it's one of those fun issues where you google it and get a stackoverflow where there's 20 replies, all with 0 points, and all give different answers, none of which work

Thinking about using mailto link in html form as a way to add comments to my future blog. Obfuscation of the email address aside (which would involve JS, so I need a backup solution), do people even have the right email client configured for mailto links?

@aran Next you'll be telling me that a "dad bod" is not the same as a "father figure"...

Regular reminder: if your site or app doesn’t work in Firefox, it’s broken.

I lived through the “this site requires and/or is best in IE” era, and I’d rather burn it all down than return to that.

Pro-tip: Firefox does most things better anyway. Give it a spin and enjoy a less-tracked web.
