@scarly specifically: schools are for training workers. getting them out of the way of parents so the parents can work is also helpful, but secondary. actually educating anybody is a tertiary goal *at best*. it may be what the teachers want to do, but everything in the way the public school system is structured is systematically designed to train kids to be Good Little Workers.

if 'you are what you eat' is accurate, I'm pretty sure @scarly is basically made up entirely of cotton candy at this point
