The family business is raising the dead; Ree has other ambitions. She’s going to resurrect the ancient magic of shapeshifting, but might doom her necromantic hometown in the process.
BOOKS & BONE is a librarians-and-necromancy fantasy with warmth and weirdness.
Thanks to the support of many wonderful people I'm a lot closer to publishing it, but I could really use your help if you're able.

@scarly specifically: schools are for training workers. getting them out of the way of parents so the parents can work is also helpful, but secondary. actually educating anybody is a tertiary goal *at best*. it may be what the teachers want to do, but everything in the way the public school system is structured is systematically designed to train kids to be Good Little Workers.

i'm fairly antisocial but if you're interesting and nice then probably i'll be a good friend to have around.
