While there isn't an official way to link your Mastodon account with Keybase, you can prove your identity manually by signing a message with the Keybase CLI. Then, anyone that meets you via the fediverse can communicate with you securely by verifying your signature. There is a good explanation of how to do this at https://ryanmaynard.co/mastodon-keybase
@BatElite i let them know every day, but tomorrow i'll make an extra effort to let them know π
flarf 4: the flarfening
Oh, my poor anxious fibres! While people eat scorpions and blowfish, breakfast tomorrow morning won't be easy for me to stomach. I feel like a little baby...! -- and, well, while I would not normally bother, we aren't changing anyone's minds here. Listen, I would recommend making either one of those blue marbles actually overcome things in the end. I'll restart everything all over the world again, since I really DO love you.

My problems with them outright banning the papers won't matter, for you can absolutely fire back against them with love. It's gonna be forever changed: since I need the money to get somewhere, we can split it between the two of us! It helps you and your cute face that I love. Neither of us can stop me now, dude. I've been thinking about our long-lost laughter, and you know how I feel about that change.

I still think that since we are fragile, how you incite drama about others draws too much attention. That would essentially mean losing; it eliminates all of our boundaries. Funds are going, and that's just well enough for them. We can't afford to wither away under their presence.
Really, asking "what should replace Facebook" is putting things the wrong way around.
A more interesting way to ask the question is, "what did Facebook replace."
People used to build their own websites. People used to have blogs. People used USENET which was truly distributed and un-censorable.
Facebook and Google took the open internet and open standards and monetized and made everything crappy. Enough of that. Nothing should replace Facebook, it's done, stick a fork in it.
tiny wistfulness
years after its release, i caught up with a series and have finally read through it in its entirety after i got into it 6 years ago. the last installment was released in 2016 and a new installment (or another remake) has been teased, but... it makes me sad to know that for now, things have to stop here. i rarely binge things and feel upset about things ending where they were, but this series is too close to my heart for that. it's a lil lonely to have to wait for more.
