@noelle it's ok, already shelled out the money for a replacement, hopefully it'll be here before Thursday

i'm just sad about wasting the day and the money setback it is

@jk national brand, c3tech 500r video edition, bought it in 2011, worked from my phenom ii x4 build all the way to the ruzen i built back in april until last night

so the 500w psu can stil post an older system, a pentium dual core, but it can't post the ryzen

i don't know if the psu went bad and can't give enough current and that's why it won't turn on anymore or if the mobo/cpu crapped themselves out...

ugh, so stressful

psu confirmed bad now, i can't get it to come on by itself by shorting ps_on to gnd at all

can't tell if that cap in the middle is leaked or if that's just thermal gunk. doesn't look bulged computerfairi.es/media/UZXUrDy

so i took the whole thing apart, plugged everything back in, cleared CMOS, everything, and my desktop is still not posting. immediate suspects are PSU, CPU and motherboard without any way of knowing which combination of the three are bad.

heloo i will be streaming me drawing the next page o' my comic tonight @ 6pm central time, picarto.tv/nachobra , pls drop in & say haldo

so either my motherboard, CPU or PSU are toast and i have no way of figuring out which

all lights and fans are otherwise give, it just won't post
