yeah fuck everything about this

just try to forget about the rotten part of the internet, if it starts cropping up here don't forget to use the report function

nazis

@nyanuri please remember to use the report function. we can deal with it

"If you push a burger inside a hat, you get a combination burger hat" - @LaserScheme, in a singing voice

@Curator i copied and pasted it from the person who wrote it, because i agree with it. the quote was not misquoted. whether or not it's "slander", well, i guess that's another matter entirely, but it's not a misquote.

"nerds", "queer" AS a slur

@noelle @sireebob@cybre.space i try to make it as clear as possible i'm the most nerd of all at all times

"nerds", "queer" AS a slur

@noelle and i totally get why someone would think it's inappropriate, and i wouldn't do it if i knew someone would feel bad if i did it

"nerds", "queer" AS a slur

@noelle i guess i get this

i've used "what's up nerds" in chatrooms with friends, because i meant it in jest, and they knew so

i don't think i'd call anyone i'm not comfortable with a "nerd" if they don't know i don't mean it seriously

i guess i don't think of it as reclaiming the term itself but rather just saying it in a silly intonation like i'm doing a caricature of someone who would say that

@Gargron fair, but i see it from a point of view of someone who's trying to cultivate a safe space where the behaviour would be unacceptable

just as why i block any other instance whose coc i don't agree with

"mastodon.art considered harmful"

@impiaaa@dev.glitch.social Yes.

"mastodon.art considered harmful"

"Sorry, we don't care how much you love seeing art and how much it seems like an awesome thing, mastodon.art is actually making mastodon worse instead of better, and as more artists join it without the context of the rest of mastodon, it'll only get worse"

"Artists that behave badly are given a platform to ignore everyone else without any adminstration doing anything.

Artists won't get in trouble posting things that are nsfw without a CW or NSFW posts turned on."

"mastodon.art considered harmful"

this was written by a friend, but i share in the sentiment:

"we're sorry but seriously.

We have an instance full of artists and thats great... but the way its being administrated is being a very bad neighbor as far as instances go.

People are given these massive post limits without any understanding that MOST mastodon instances have 500 and this ruins our feeds

People aren't told the kind of expectation of CWs and such that so many of us have"

it's 2017 and valve is still using bink video and miles sound system

@Gargron @daggertooth@monsterpit.net how about a domain block setting that doesn't reject media but puts all of it behind a sensitive content warning, too

that way when a remote instance's admin won't comply with enforcing CWs i can do that for them on my side at least
