honestly if i could get wb3.1 with the furia and aga this would be my dream machine

it's those out-of-my-reach things that frustrate me about my amiga, aside from things plain not working

recap & clean board
fix keyboard traces properly and cover with enamel
recap psu
find new, proper screws for case

@troubleMoney @candle you have to specify display :0 i believe and passing that setting varies from program to program or it's some env variable i think

the pocketchips screen is a regular x display if that helps

@troubleMoney wouldn't fit through the connector shroud

i'd have enough vias if i tied the R G and B grounds together into one wire but i'm not sure if that's prudent

nvm ethernet cables don't have enough vias either

still i need to get better cables

i wonder if ethernet cables would make good video cables?

right now i'm using one that's shielded but .. i'm dumb so it doesn't have enough vias for a full SCART connector (that i'm actually putting through DE15 connectors since they mate better and don't get flaky) so the audio ground is going through the shielding ... which is a dumb idea and causes a lot of noise (but it works fine as long as i don't turn the volume up too much)

@troubleMoney yeah that's the thing, i bought a db25 knowing that db23s aren't manufactured anymore

it was the plan all along to hack it down

someone tried to argue with me the other day i shouldn't cut a db25 into a db23 and i should just get an actual db23 and wouldn't listen to me when i said those aren't made anymore and i had to show him that, buddy, even the german amiga enthusiasts do it

@Jo also: some wiring guides from amiga to this specific board say you can tap the 5v out from the monitor port to power this board

DO NOT DO THAT

the 5v out on the amiga is 100mA, this board draws 1A
