tn panels are blurry as hell

the 420cdt (my model) has tft, it's much better

@tom it needed some tlc

it had 2 leaked internal batteries (cmos, not sure what the second one was for) and the hard drive was seized

ripped the batteries out (still works just doesn't save bios) and replaced the hdd with a cf card and it works wonderfully

@tom toshiba satellites might just be that!! idk how availability is for you there on them

this one i got for free as a birthday gift from a friend who knew im into old computers

its got opl3 so its a perfect adlib tracker machine

sadly the rest of the laptop feels flimsier than the thinkpad

also its very heavy

it has an internal psu !!! you don't use a brick you just, ,,,,, literally plug a power cord right onto the back

i'm also so so amazed at how well 11 year old hardware has been working for me as a daily driver laptop

i just wish i had a better battery for it, maybe once i have more money i'll import a new one

it's literally the only bit of this thinkpad that was missing besides the trackpoint when i bought it used

(i got such a lucky deal on this thinkpad im still so happy about that)
