@SupperMarioBroth@octodon.social well that's just speciesist *crosses tentacles*

open for pawb

@maple *holds pawb*

*with tentacle that there isn't an emoji for yet*

@posiputt looking around my little corner of the fediverse, it seems most of them

@Jo a watch

with blockchain added somehow

for reasons

costing 16,500 swiss francs (no, they don't accept payment in bitcoin)

@maple I'm still confused about why their response to "linux has weird little annoying bugs" was an explanation of what a distro is

meta snark

@maple they're actually doing that now?

screw it, someone fork it for groff support or something equally ridiculous, if you're gonna go out of spec do it properly

@twitter@mastodon.technology @maple linux has just as many problems as windows, but they're all really tiny ones you don't necessarily notice until you go to do something and figure out that bit hasn't been working for months

@pertho@bsd.network just your standard cat food

although I'm sure they wouldn't mind some chips and gravy

@letthewatersroar@toot.cafe no worries, I always like introducing people to new books!

UK TV adverts

@Jo I seem to recall that most of his works included foods that maccy d's wouldn't like to be associated with

@letthewatersroar@toot.cafe The Sprawl Trilogy is three books written by William Gibson that practically define cyberpunk as a genre, if you're at all interested in the genre, read those

@letthewatersroar@toot.cafe the Culture series is a bunch of books written by Iain M. Banks centring around a society called "the Culture", a post-scarcity anarcho-communist bunch of AIs, aliens, and humans

The main theme is how the rather idealistic Culture gets along with other societies who don't share their ideals

Also, snarky AI warships-in-all-but-name shittalking amongst themselves

5 book series (because I can't think of 5 videogames)

The Illuminatus! Trilogy
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Culture series
The Sprawl Trilogy
The Dresden Files
