@SarcasmKid I'm halfway expecting that one of these days you're just going to add wheels and a motor to a bed so you can drive around in it and never have to leave bed
@SarcasmKid *tuts loudly*
That ought to do it
WAIT
@TheyCallMeMo no but hearing that I think we might have to retcon it
@squirrel hmm...
I'm out of ideas I'm afraid
@squirrel ah, one of those little niggly problems that are far more annoying than if it doesn't work completely
Did you do full updates after installation? 'cause the only thing I can think of is that the newest version of something might have introduced a bug that the older version on the liveusb didn't have
@squirrel Hold up, you'll be on the latest release won't you?
'cause that might be the issue, apparently there's a bug somewhere in the wayland/xwayland/xorg thingy mawhatsits in regard to wacom tablets not working properly and it hasn't been fixed in time for the artful aardvark release of ubuntu
@squirrel First thing that comes to mind is that maybe the liveUSB had an older version of the wacom-y stuff and the new version either broke something or changed some settings somewhere
@squirrel bemmp
@squirrel mlump?
@rye It's not quite NSFW, but is really close to being NSFW

@ajroach42 @LottieVixen ah that's barely 1 post each for every man, woman, and child on the planet
Might need two
@LottieVixen @ajroach42 I mean, compared to running underwater fibre lines across an ocean that's a bargain really
@ajroach42 @LottieVixen Back of the envelope calculations, if you use a FedEx small box and 256GB SD cards you'll have total capacity of over 450TB
It'd cost over a quarter of a million dollars but that should be enough capacity for it
And if not they're starting to make 1TB SD cards
@ajroach42 @LottieVixen Oh damnit, as with everything there's an XKCD (what if) for it https://what-if.xkcd.com/31/
@ajroach42 @LottieVixen I'm reminded of a Tanenbaum quote: "Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway."
Which can probably now be updated to "Never underestimate the bandwidth of a FedEx box full of hard drives"
@ajroach42 @LottieVixen It's very much like that, but on a larger scale
They call it El Paquete Semanal, every week a hard disk filled with stuff (films, music, TV, etc.) arrives in Cuba (somehow), and then it gets copied and sold on to a bunch of people
