The lowest Erdös-Bacon number is 3, Daniel Kleitman co-published with Erdös and was in Good Will Hunting with Minnie Driver giving him a Bacon number of 2

@masklayer bit of metal in the middle that's formed into a spiral, wants to curl up

when you flatten it out you do so by bending it in the perpendicular direction to it stays flat because of gaussian curvature

managed to get about half way through with hand tools until I went "fuck it" and cracked out the 'leccy stuff

the bowl bit of the spoon is a pain in the arse to do with nothing resembling the proper tools so that's a bit shallow but otherwise it worked out okay for the first thing I've ever carved
