I wonder if oil producers do home delivery

Like, I have no idea what I'd do with a couple of barrels of crude oil but if they're gonna pay me to take them I'll find some use for it

this is because demand has gone down considerably (due to covid-19 lockdowns) while the production has remained at a similar level as before

this means that producers are running out of space to put all the oil they haven't managed to sell

this running out of space has resulted in the producers literally paying people to take oil away because they have no space to keep it
