@mavica I've been doing a fair few lately so I shall hold off and let you do the honours

@mavica I really appreciate you mavi, you've been on the right side of pretty much everything so far even if people haven't necessarily listened

re: miscourse

@revolverocelot I wonder what the response would be if they said it would be 5 bucks as a processing fee to unlock that stuff and/or retrieve it from backup

'cause that's a thing they can do under GDPR

(leaving aside the fact the gdpr doesn't count here)

miscourse

so it's against the GDPR to not keep someone's personal data now?

I... uh... whut?

@stolas@elekk.xyz I'm surprised it's lasted 20 minutes to be honest

@mavica by which I mean "answering the question but trying really hard not to admit I'm english"

@mavica I guess they can call themselves american in the same way I can call myself european

but they never mean that

i respect the ceramics talent that made these objects even as i am horrified

@revolverocelot I don't know if that's a real thing or not and I am afraid to find out

the reason it has to be named after a muppet is the fact that the first model of sub that had a black dial and green bezel was nicknamed the Kermit and they want to keep the naming scheme going

I am not making a word of this up

Show thread

there are ongoing arguments as to if the black dial, blue bezel is to be called the Cookie Monster or the Grover

Show thread

the new green bezel submariner has a larger face and smaller "ears" (lugs)

some smartarses are already calling it the "Rolex Shrek" and I approve

No 2020, stop!

@joshua @TheGibson technically a species is any group capable of interbreeding

so if we all get together and refuse to fuck the rich then they could be considered a different species

oh, they've got new oyster perpetuals too

they've dropped the 39mm version and replaced it with a 41mm

some nice dials in silver, black, or blue

and a number of godawful dials in other colours

oh, and the gold skydweller is now available on a rubber strap
