Oh, seems that Easter Sunday is on April 1st this year

I can tell some people are going to make some sort of commentary on that

@squirrel Depends which version, the Dante one has a big frozen lake of stuff in the middle

So many of us have been trained to believe that if we can't get something right on the first try, we're never going to get it right. It's so frustrating - even more so that it's so common.

Sometimes things are hard. Sometimes things take work. Sometimes you'll fail on your first try and that's not a reflection on your worth as a person, it's just because you need to practice.

You don't have to be perfect all the time, and not being perfect doesn't make you worthless. <3

@squirrel about as understandable to you as it was to me then

Far as I can tell there's some way to nudge pixels left or right a bit but I couldn't explain how that's meant to work

@squirrel if it helps I did some digging around and found an article in a Pico8 zine that does a wavy effect

sectordub.itch.io/pico-8-fanzi

Not sure if that's useful or not

i'm:
⚪️ a man
⚪️ a woman
🔘 blue

i'm in need of:
⚪️ a man
⚪️ a woman
🔘 a guy

if I were green i would:
⚪️ hey these aren't the lyrics what are you doing
⚪️ fly
🔘 die

@squirrel that's true...

Hang on

Are we suddenly going into a fluffier cuddlier version of TNG with a Lt. Cmdr. Maple going around offering hugs and kindness?

@squirrel I'd give you the chief engineer job

After all, who would understand machines better, a big lump of biological stuff or another machine?

@squirrel only vaguely related, but you've just made me think of a zero-g play area for the maplebots

@HTHR@cybre.space what, you're going to move the schedule to one game every 1.5 weeks? :blobcheeky:

@brokenfingers I'm not entirely sure why they're called spoons as opposed to anything else, but yeah, unit of mental/physical resources

@brokenfingers It's a measure of resources

Basis is, everyone has a number of spoons that they have, doing things uses up spoons, and you regain spoons by resting

The number of spoons people need to use on certain things and the rate of gaining new spoons is different in each person

So someone with a disability might have a low rate of spoon recovery, or certain things might cost a lot of spoons to do, or both

A lack of spoons would mean that they can't deal with x thing right now

food

@vector@a.weirder.earth I'm not sure that's possible for me

food

I have no idea why but I've been heavily craving pickled onions all week

Some say that cravings are your body's way of telling you that you're missing some key nutrient that's abundant in that kind of food

So, uh, vinegar deficiency?

my ordinary life: ep 4

@squirrel it's true, they are indeed bird sized by definition

@TheGibson IT WAS THE PERFECT DISGUISE

NOBODY WOULD SUSPECT A GOAT THAT THOUGHT IT WAS AN OCTOPUS TO BE AN OCTOPUS!
