With the release of watchOS 5 the first version of the apple watch (including the $17,000 gold editions of it) is officially obsolete

They'll still function as is but they won't receive any updates and may not work with new phones

To all those people who spent $17,000 on a watch that's now obsolete rather than on a non-smart watch that'll last damn near forever, sucks to be you

Someone just mentioned the idea of the John Wick setting being used for a tabletop RPG or MMO and I would be 100% on board with that

software

"Minimum recommended hardware" is only a recommendation

Half the time the software will still work with lower-spec hardware

Maybe it'll be a bit slower, but it won't cause your computer to explode or anything

Every time I read "our software is lightweight! It only uses 1GB of RAM!" I can feel my joints creak a little more.

alcohol

Ooh, Bulleit Bourbon for 16 quid on amazon, don't mind if I do

Microsoft announces first new feature to be added to github after their acquisition

remember when forum threads with lots of images would have "56K WARNING" in the title

OH SHIT

@squirrel should totally have a gophersite up and running

that would totally be on-brand for a small fluffy critter

the octopus would like some ice put in their tank please

it's a bit warm

maplebots all crowded around a window watching a thunderstorm come up with for a distributed, federated site that's /better/ than #Rust.
