Guy was lactose intolerant, so he decided to edit his own DNA so he could produce lactase
He's probably going to get various exciting cancers at some point due to this but I can only commend his enthusiasm

No ethical consumption under capitalism
- not useful
- people need to consume shit to live
Okay, what's your idea then dickhead?
- make what we do consume go as far as possible
- if shit breaks, try to repair it
- learn to sew
- get acquainted with a soldering iron
- use more fucking duck tape
- if you need something, look to see if you can bodge it together from shit you've got lying around
- shit you've got lying around also includes anything in poorly secured bins
I've just managed to put my finger on exactly why I like mechanical watches so much more than quartz
It's a symbiotic thing, the watch takes a little energy from you and in return it tells you what the time is
Feels a lot more like working together than with a quartz that just keeps ticking no matter what you do or don't do with it
horror, oh god what has humanity created

Huh, mpv might be getting an official GUI

Cool, doesn't really need one in my opinion, but cool
