@Strife89 the question, IMO, was never if they would survive, because of course they would - the real question would be how they'd organize the next time.

work stress
that feeling of needing to be in a "sync meeting" in "10 minutes" but it's supposed to involve your coworker who's better at taking notes than you are, but they're on furlough for unclear reasons that I'm not technically supposed to know about and the meeting head doesn't know about any of it either, so all you can do is vaguetoot about it and listen to hold music until the meeting happens, with a pit in your stomach and dread in your heart
@sandofsky
'what problem are you trying to solve by screwing in the light bulb'
'Maybe there is an easier way to accomplish what you are asking.'
'Have you tried IlluminationLibrary'
'Just use flashlights. Light bulbs are absurdly inefficient.'
'I work during the day so I don't need to change bulbs. Have you tried that?'

We *need* standard protocols like ActivityPub, but ultimately, users do not want a protocol. People do not want a formless ball of infinite potential. They want "Products". They want a clearly presented thing that they can put into their web browser or phone and it slots them into a legible user flow satisfying a specific user story. This is not because they are brainwashed by capitalism. It is because most people *have other shit to do* and don't want to bother with software that's unfinished.

@TonicBH I'll recommend No Such Thing As A Fish, it's run by the people who do fact checking for the British show QI and the whole point is they swap weird facts and spend 40 minutes BS'ing with each other about them.
@maple I understand it's bizarre, I mean, it was pretty bizarre to me when I first drew it, too! Just figured it'd be fun and interesting, I'll accept it no matter what comes out
@maple Hey, I'm interested in the pixel portrait slot, using my original toaster avatar. I'd be interested in seeing your take on it. How do I sign up?
