@maple neutral trans stories, I guess
I have a silly dream of making a paper machine, something I could feed with clean cotton rag and it would pulp it and extrude sheets. that's getting a bit ambitious considering we've never built any machine that wasn't in kit form :=/
I'm a sucker for ooold books about, like, how to do practical stuff like make paint and soap and inks and stuff like that. all the things we've gotten super used to as commercial products
(like...we assume we're _always_ gonna get that stuff at the supermarket or in a convenient yellow Amazon tote or whatever, right? well...maybe not for much longer...)
here's a favorite, "Henley's Recipes"

programming a "pendulum" (not the physics kind)
now, Kara's a witch, and my mom Mona's religious (jryy fur yvxrf univat jvyq betvrf jvgu inevbhf tbqf, naljnl, ng yrnfg va ure bja zvaq), but I ain't really into that shit
still, I sometimes feel inclined to help 'em out with their crap. thinking of how I'd make a "pendulum" (it's a divination thing) app that was actually, like...not just a pseudorandom number generator because that's not gonna respond to the spirits, or whatever
ukpol
couldn't she have moved it forward to the 31st though?
"May ends on the 31st" would have been a good headline
At least we've still got "June marks end of May"

oh heh yeah I promised myself I would try to get #ffxiv running on Xubuntu, that's gonna be "fun"
negative, being ghosted
really blows when you find out (probably) that someone you used to wanna be good friends with just decided one day that you're not worth acknowledging even more and probably has you muted or blocked or something so you can't even ask why
like...what do you do then? how do you even know what you _did_? "oh I don't have to tell you anything and you're abusing me just by asking" well fuck you if that's how you think
uk pol, eu pol, how to steal an election
this goes way beyond "admin errors", and all the way into electoral fraud. systematically seeking to deny a significant selection of the electorate in the UK their right to vote can't be seen as anything else.
it's also a violation of the human rights of every participant denied a vote, and i hope they all sue.
in sequence.
