@NovaSquirrel I have a car whose dome light will sometimes stop working, but I can make it work again by punching it. After driving the car around long enough, it became second nature to punch the dome light if it didn't work when I turned it on, much to the amusement of those who've not ridden with me before.

@danishcookies Well, they're working full speed to bring on the nightmare either way, but the fascists also have a massive propaganda machine on their side working 24/7 to convince everyone that everything isn't as bad as it looks/things are actually supposed to be on fire, that's normal, quit complaining.

@danishcookies I think it's more like "boiling the frog" except while simultaneously trying to convince the frog that being boiled is actually a preferable condition.

@danishcookies To be fair (NO, WAIT, I HAVE A POINT), accelerationism isn't unique to reactionaries. There are some anarchist schools of thought (which I think are dumb) that believe that an anarchist/leftist revolution can be brought about quicker through making things worse on purpose. This is that, but in the other direction.
