@nielsk Interesting. I've been thinking about using Qubes as my OS in my next computer build. I've been getting more into activism and feel the decreased convenience may be worth it.
Why, liberty of the press is only permission of the press, and the state never will or can voluntarily permit me to grind it to nothingness by the press.

@vogon "What was that beauty appy thing? it was like a 3 digit number or something. 621? Yeah, just google that. No, nothing there. It was a letter or something... e? Yeah, that sounds right. e621. Ah, there's a result that looks about right. *clicks*... cartoons? Maybe it's just branding. uhh... "lipstick"...
what the fuck?
@kistaro So it's just playing out the LOTR book series by way of Warhammer.
@pounce Look, you can't just butter me up like that. *shakes napkin with scribbles on it* what happened to the social contract?!
@pounce *flustered and sweating* oh I'm not sure about that
gender, -, fears I'm a fake
@storm Whatever you want? That's what's real. Gender is whatever you want it to be. Maybe it doesn't mean much of anything to me, but I know for my partners, it means a lot. Both feelings are valid. You are valid. Everyone is making it up as they go along. What's most important is to do what you need to for yourself to be happy.
@kistaro Alright, so as a hobbit you have resistance to bad smells but you have very poor movement speed. You have high wisdom, but this basically only manifests as resistance to psionics. Your main attack is throwing a rock and yelling. Oh no, yelling doesn't actually hurt your enemy, but you have a chance to summon a wizard or other ally to your aid.
@ottumon You know what they say. hue are what yews eat.
@clarjon1 The infants are overtaking me. I'm standing atop the dresser and still they come. The infants flow from the vents. They wail and crawl over each other and still they come. Tell my wife I'm sorry.
not an ad but I'm kinda gushing about a speaker
@heytanuki@snouts.online I was gonna ask why the bass port had a cork plug, then I looked at the top and realized it certainly wasn't deep enough to have a bass port. Then I decided to expand the post to figure out what that thing is.
It's neat, that's what it is.
@storm My gender is "eh, whatever" I identify most with male because that's what I've been all my life, but I get the gender euflorials when I'm addressed in feminine terms. What do I want? To burn down the system and build something better. For now my gender doesn't matter to me. It's a reference point for other people to identify with. A couple of my partners say that's just how it starts and I'll eventually swing towards wanting to be more outwardly queer. For now, I'm enough for myself.
@storm I've become consciously aware in the past couple years that I don't have any actual attachment to my gender, but conveying myself as a cis male makes my life easier. In my polyamorous network, this makes me one of the only cis presenting people, and also de facto diplomat as a familiar point of reference to interact with for cis people. I've been trying to decide for a while whether I'm okay with this in the long term or if I would prefer to begin expressing myself as more outwardly queer
@TheGibson and then there's what I call Advanced Signage. This is when an entity with authority, such as a police officer, directs a course of action but simultaneously has no interest in enforcing their authority. The best example I have of this is when I was traveling through California, and parked in a polloff just off the freeway that had a sign telling people not to park there after sundown. A cop drove by, didn't stop, but told the people in the lot to move via their bullhorn.
Anarchist. Cat. Anarkat. White Cis Male. Don't worry, I'll die eventually. Polyamorous & pansexual. Sometimes I say dumb stuff. When that happens, tell me. I'll figure it out.
Location? Idunno. The walls are grey and plain, and it's difficult to get to. Could be a bunker. Or a suburb. Hard to tell.
I drive. A lot. Many attempts have been made on my life by whatever spirit is behind bad drivers, but I'm still around.
