now more than ever, despite all misgivings about new leadership and layoffs at mozilla, if you care about the internet and you're still using chrome/ium over firefox, you are the problem

if you've tried to use an original xbox controller under windows 10 and have had issues with XBCD (no rumble) and Xb2XInput (delayed/stuck inputs) check out my fork which improves polling by using async libusb i/o

Wooo! more working ZX Spectrums in my house :D
thanks again to @mavica_again . It even included a Dymo label for the TV connection to mark these as composite. exactly the right vibe imho.
I know who to contact next time I need an old computer repairing.

huge thankyou to @mavica_again who fixed one of my ZX Spectrums, and is currently fixing two more for me :)
It did a very thorough job of repairing, tuning, and composite-modding this machine that was really showing its age. It now has a lovely stable image with all the right colours.
If you need an old computer fixing up, definitely see if Mavica has some time :)

turns out the carriage starts at an offset of 60 steps, so when i was scaling data to a full page width of 960 steps everything was offcenter to the right. i've corrected this in pypenwriter and made it not issue redundant moves to minimise penup/pendown noise

(this picture being offcenter is just due to the scale not matching the paper)
