food-ish, elitism

@Zelli sous vide pork is incredible and that's a hill I'm willing to die on

food-ish

@wersimmon@queer.garden I mostly just use mine for pork chops, chicken breasts, occasionally bacon, n steaks (actually just about any chunk of meat that isn't fated to be roasted tbh)

though... it's fucking -INCREDIBLE- for corn on the cob come to think of it, which a lot of folks don't know about seriouseats.com/recipes/2015/0

i probably haven't been as adventurous with it as some folks tbh x)

sad

@desvox urk. that's me pretty much every week tbh

it's nonsense for me, and it's nonsense for you as well. I like your posts n stuff

food-ish

the best food related purchase I've ever made was a sous vide circulator back in 2017 on a cyber monday sale

makes meat prep infinitely easier compared to other methods, with predictable high quality results every damn time

i could never, ever go back :psyduck:

(came to mind since I just tossed some cheap pork chops into the water for dinner)

@zac very true, though on a slightly smaller scale :blobbun:

if I ever own a house I want my back yard to double as a crow sanctuary. :blobhyperthink:

listening to trip hop while coding is praxis

sadly, my attempt to sneak a single pringle into @Scarly 's bowl of Doritos failed

It's time to come clean and let you all in on a personal secret

@meimeimeixie w-why, me too! :blobsleepless:

okay real talk

what good is science if it can't give me self cleaning dishes? cmon

@maple that's honestly awesome as hell

thinkpads are beasts, and I love the aesthetics on older ones

@maple honestly, if I could get a brand new, never before used CRT monitor that maxed out at 1024x768 at 120hz, I'd throw my current monitors out right now
