while we're at it, "dumb" is synonymous with "mute" and its use to mean "unintelligent" is something we question.

and generally when people refer to intelligence, they mean a mixture of ideas including ability to learn, ability to communicate, ability to remember, actual learned knowledge, just thinking differently, etc

there's lots of other words for this stuff that won't hurt ppl!
