New Secret Area post: It's Unreal.

Epic Games and Digital Extremes' foray into the first-person shooter genre was pretty mindblowing for 1998, and it's the only classic FPS I *hadn't* written about yet.

Me constantly tinkering with my writing (even as I'm writing it) makes me think I find more enjoyment in editing stuff than writing stuff

I assume that's not a unique phenomenon, but it may explain why I tend to write so infrequently

imo serious sam is best played co-operatively with friends using the coin-op co-op option because then it feels more like I'm playing a twin stick shooter in first person

Went out for a small walk and it was rather soothing

There's something about just walking around in those early mornings that just... feels good, y'know?

Realizing that I have a lot of games and consoles I do not use and have been sitting in a closet for years at this point

An addendum: I wish I kept in better contact with some of the folks who helped me on my transgender journey.

I still talk with some of them, but the rest shuffled off to other places, to other communities.

I wish I kept in touch, just so I can thank them for helping me.
