Wtf, a huge bird just landed on top of a cactus, cawed “Challenge!” at me, then recited a weird little poem and flew away? It was kind of unclear but it sounded like

“Tram(???) stop number two
You shan't peanut butter
Up stairs(??) await you
Twin hearts all a-flutter”

I’ve run at Sabino Canyon maybe a dozen times since I’ve been here in Tucson, and every single time, an episode of Do By Friday comes up. Today’s no different. Coincidence, or am I a targeted individual?

I was restless on a rest day, so I took a short, easy hike up Ventana Canyon. Amazing what a beautiful sights there are, just one mile up from the trailhead.

I like Tucson a lot, and I can see myself living here within the next five years.

My final long run is complete! I spent six hours today trying not to get destroyed by the Arizona sun at Saguaro Park East. My goal was to stay at my race pace, which I accomplished. I made it to marathon distance. A 50K was within reach, and I was on pace to get a 75 minute PR for the distance, but it would have been greedy and unwise. I’m proud of how I’ve trained for this upcoming race, and I’m ready to enjoy two weeks of taper! #trailrunning #ultratraining
