trying out adding yellow stripes. this is admittedly difficult for me bc i don't really like yellow. unless it's a Very Specific kind used in a Very Specific way it looks bad to me/ ;v; i know i'm sorry i'm biased against yellow!! that's part of the reason i ask for feedback! i don't want it to be Just My Opinion TM

okay here's a second mockup. added black stripes as suggested by @Clumsey_Wordsmith. i'm diggin it! what do y'all think?

looking for feedback on this mockup for the peragender flag

we can make as many changes as we need/want, this is just a starting point. if it looks completely different in the end that's okay!

like i said before the teal/purple kind of parallels pink/blue in a nonbinary way and the white stripe is All The Colours incl the ones we can't see (i.e. the ones Beyond our vision) but it's missing something...

the founding fathers were a bunch of fucken noobs

In all honesty the author deserves every bit of that criticism.

This is so sad Alexa play "Take back the night" by Captain Sparklez

mastodon is crumbling because i'm bad at minecraft and i destroyed the internal infrastructure oh god oh shit oh fuck i'm so sorry

@dar@cybre.space
First of all, the article was talking about EVERYTHING of Mastodon.
Second, I'm pretty sure people are just making fun of liberals, like how we always do around here. This is just comedy gold material.
I honestly don't see any "misdirected energy" here. We point out the fallacy of liberal rhetorics and make fun of their performative "resistance" like we always do. What bothers me more however is why you're persistent on "not reacting" to this.

@dar@cybre.space
You're asking why people do these things. I'm asking why not? It's a natural response to people badmouthing you. There's no gain either in trying to achieve some imaginary moral and composure high ground either. Also again, a lot of these posts are about self-reflection of Mastodon as a whole.

talking to investors to get a funding round for my game concept of "the great british bake off for PS2"

@dar@cybre.space
Also if they already know it, why shouldn't they talk about it more? And use this opportunity to provide self-reflection?

@dar@cybre.space
Hooooo boy that first part is a real misconception here. Social media isn't just a place to "chitchat online". And especially not for Mastodon. For a lot of people this is an emotional outlet and support from peers. This is a channel for tech support from queer developers. This may also be the only place some people can be out of the closet. Even if it does not serve such purposes for you, you should be more aware of its importance for others.

@dankwraith
I feel like those are the same people who argue that people are naturally bad and corrupted and thus, need a State composing on a few power-hungry individuals to lead them.

also lmao at someone jumping in my menchies overnight to argue that open source projects, where everyone can see the code, are less vetted than closed source projects, where a tiny group of corporate actors can see the code

queer parenting moment

We got a zoodler, so I asked my out 15 yo daughter to pick out a dozen straight zucchinis

Her: I know how to pick the straight ones
Me: Great! As long as we're still talking about zucchini

@dar@cybre.space
That's not how it is perceived by others who are just as oblivious as the author. Also, obviously everyone has their own personal beef with misrepresentation.
