Sheesh, not *all* of #Moebius' tips to aspiring #comics artists have aged that well in our post-#metoo times:

“Drawing a man is very different from drawing a woman. With males, (...) small imperfections can often add character. Your drawing of a woman, however, must be perfect; a single ill-placed line can dramatically age her or make her seem annoying or ugly. Then, no one buys your comic!”

Personally, I have positive experiences using the #VideoConferencing software #Talky with my comics course.

They say it's for up to 6 people, but everything is going smoothly with 10+ participants from different platforms.

(One of the others is using it on her phone, though, and frequently gets kicked out of the chat.)

I've found it in the recommendations section of the #CryptoParty site.

(Next apocalypse I'll try #NextCloudTalk, though...)

OMG, #Zoom may have polished their privacy policy a bit amid all the uproar, but it’s still defensive as hell and sharply contrasts to the usual surveillance-capitalist sweet-talk (CapsLock emphasis mine):

“Zoom does use certain standard advertising tools (...) which (...) send personal data to the tool providers, such as Google. This is not a “sale” of your data in the sense that most of us use the word sale. (...) It is important to know that ADVERTISING PROGRAMS HAVE ALWAYS WORKED THIS WAY.”

Finally today, #SailfishOS “Rokua” (EA) arrived, with LUKS encryption of home directory and Nextcloud integration.

Cool German indie publishers like #Reprodukt, #avantverlag or #JajaVerlag are struggling and continue to suffer losses of about -50%.

In some cities like Berlin, comic and book shops are still open, in other places book shops will be happy to send you whatever you order on the phone.
