my pal was one of the many affected by southwest's actions (or inactions?)

I'm keeping an eye on the news, but y'all let me know if there's any developments

at the very least I want my friend to get their money back for the ticket that became utterly useless

As Southwest CEO Bob Jordan pretends to apologize—remember—SW got a $7B federal bailout, spent $5.6B of that on Stock Buybacks, gave their CEO a raise to $9.1M, & forced frontline workers into 16 hour shifts under threat of termination—while spending $0 updating SW software😳

Southwest’s debacle isn’t an accident. It’s the predictable result of billionaire & corporate corruption & greed—& thousands of workers & travelers are paying the price.

In a just world SW execs will face criminal charges.

😟 I might have been right on the money about my low energy as a result of low iron

lol whoops laid down for a few seconds and it was a few hours later

winter really takes all my energy

It's so hot in this auto repair place, I keep forgetting that have giant windows that bake the place if the sun is out XmX);;

Also had a fucked up dream but it was the really annoying kinda gross kind that's not worth explaining

My tummy is kinda upset and I'm tired as heck but I'm being So Brave about it at the auto repair place

as a general rule of thumb, if I make a single letter/character typo and catch it in time, I'll just delete and rewrite it

but for transparency sake, if it's more than a few characters or it's been a couple of hours, I'll reply with the correction

the snow was so tall my pom couldn't comfortably maneuver through it lol

back from the walk, probably over did it because I'm exhausted now

oof it is snowin a bunch and I do not want to go out to walk my dog

but I gotta

re: food mentioned

there's gonna be another snow blast in my area so I'm not gonna risk getting stuck in the cold

I'm just gonna order a different food that's closer for pick up

This is a carbonized loaf of bread from Pompeii, 79 C.E. - preserved for thousands of years in the volcanic ashes of Mount Vesuvius. The baker left his stamp, which reads: “Celer, slave of Quintus Granius Verus." Celer is known to have survived the eruption, as his name later appears on a list of "freed men." Most bread at the time was baked in community ovens, so customized stamps were used to mark individual families’ and bakeries’ loaves.

food mentioned

hhmmmuughhh I want a specific food but it's slightly out of the range I feel safe driving with the spare tire (no highways, just potholes)

but I def don't want to pay delivery fees...hhmmmm :thinkhappy:

friend is off to the airport, hopefully without delay or more cancelations ✈️

oof, the bad mental health wasn't entirely based on how lonely I am

had another episode last night

idk if it's anxiety, just unpredictable waves of uneasy-ness, *something* is wrong but I can't figure out exactly what, or put a name to it

no heart racing or shaking, not even sweating

just my head & GI agree, something is wrong and because I don't know what *that* makes me nervous

but it did help a lot to have a friend over to talk it out with 💖

sad to find out that I would likely be super duper affected by Japan's pollen season :bunhdsad: not that I'm anywhere near fluency or anything

but it also means I would need to be super careful about planning my "eventually" trip there too ;w;

wrote 1 whole fic that I like, 1 poem, plus I still think about that idea I have for a novel on and off again
