@lifning@cybre.space yeah.... I do speedruns of it still, from time to time, because the game plays in a fun way (and the speedrun is full of really fun glitches), but there's.... so much horrible garbage in it

what the heck... a file that I spent a lot of time working on a few months ago doesn't exist anywhere anymore...

I'm setting up a strawman by implying that any reasonable person might hold this view, but if you think that character encodings aren't political theguardian.com/technology/201 (repeated from last boost)

@rosen yeah, that balance is hard... I'm changing my legal name to one that's not my preferred name, but isn't awful (like my deadname is)

But I can't change it to my preferred name because that's everywhere on the internet and I don't really want to get doxxed

@Felthry @DialMforMara yes, the examples words are all australian pronounciation - there's no way for me to map australian vowels onto US pronunciation at all

@DialMforMara I should note:

some of the words on these pages are written with the standard english spelling, instead of mine

and some of the words I may have used the wrong vowels

also: I don't write the ə if it's the only vowel in the last syllable of the word, so "nation" is written as "nàʃn" instead of "nàʃyn"

@DialMforMara these are all the vowels, excepting the special character ŷ which represents the sounds /jʉ:/ (as in the start of "union")
