@softgoat I think the easiest thing to do would be to install a linux distro to a USB, and then select your BIOS settings to try booting from USB first.

The easy way to do that would probably be:

• Have 2 usbs. On one install the liveOS, and the other is blank.
• Do the installation of the OS, but onto the other USB instead of the hard drive.
• Turn off the computer, unplug the live usb, and turn the computer back on.

I don't know if it would work, but I can't see why it wouldn't!

mastodon onboarding

I'm remembering that one time I wrote a guide on twitter about how to use mastodon and just got a bunch of smug responses from people who didn't read it about "well, if you need a guide to use it it must be crap"

asking for software suggestions (windows/cross-platform)

What music playing apps do people recommend for windows computers?

@devurandom@cybre.space sports are supposed to be safe outlets for the excitement caused by seeing violent conflicts.

They're like rollercoasters, or horror movies, which are ways of experiencing the excitement caused by being scared.

⏰ FREE BOOK ALERT! ⏰

Still 13 hours left to get BOOKS & BONE and related short stories for free!

It was my birthday yesterday so I thought I'd give 'em away as a birthday treat. Kindle and EPUB formats available.

Oddly sweet stories about necromancers!
