hermitcraft

Season 7 of hermitcraft has been... incredibly rediculous so far.

Yesterday I watched 2 of the hermits accidentally blow up their neighbour's giant goat statue, and replace it with a smiley face.

Today I watched someone turn into a ghast.

re: programming languages, java

@00dani yes, exactly!

I have no issue with kotlin!

programming languages, java

The only real issue I have with Java is that it's strongly typed, but still has null.

If it had been designed without null (i.e. with just the current Optional<T> type, or with something like C#'s Nullable stuff) from the very beginning, I don't think I would have any problems with it.

social ~

@Felthry I think of you as a friend, albeit one I haven't talked to much recently

windows, whinge

@madewokherd thankyou for letting me know about Services, though, I didn't know I could use that to disable things

windows, whinge

@madewokherd The adobe one is, the google one isn't (but related google things are)

windows, whinge

@madewokherd I've disabled everything in the "startup apps" section, and there's still stuff that launches.

Adobe Acrobat Updater is always, Google Crash Reporter is always there, and several others.

windows, whinge

I hate how many programs on windows just install their own services that run at launch, and you can't turn them off.

videogame: Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

I'm just starting out with PoE2, and I'm up to the hardest part of playing a computer RPG: deciding which class to play when you don't know how the game works.
