@rey I'm on neocities.org
it's actually reasonable - they're trying to make a good static hosting place, they don't want to be inundated with bandwidth requests for viral videos/have to deal with people uploading hollywood movies/etc

it turns out it was timed out because videos aren't allowed on my host

I'm uploading a video to my website, but the video is nearly 200 times the size of the rest of the site combined, and my slow upload speed means that the upload keeps timing out...

@soft_chomps@glitch.social @Felthry the language I'm inventing uses the /β/, so I instinctively sounded that out using the international phonetic alphabet

aaaaaaaaaaaaa

I just got a new best rank in Tetris holy moly!!!

fun fact: I use NixOS as my main OS on multiple computers, but I can't recommend it to anyone, unless you're a weirdo that likes spending a bunch of time messing with configuration.

If you do like doing that, it's amazing because you can rollback to any previous config, and all configs are deterministic (so they will produce the same OS every time)

@squirrel I wish I could, but I know nothing about wacom drivers on linux, sorry

@squirrel @er1n @wxcafe@social.wxcafe.net I dunno! Personally, I'd rather spend time messing around with my NixOS configuration

@squirrel @er1n @wxcafe@social.wxcafe.net you want to understand operating systems better, and don't intend to use it as an actual OS so much as a learning OS, maybe?

@squirrel it's really nice...... if you spend a heck-tonne of time customising it... the default config is ugly as heck
