Controversial opinion, design

@shr wow, that looks incredibly bad

oh wow, I've been here since the 1st of September!

Time really flies!

@Nine i find it hard to even interact with people I know irl on twitter...

is there an easy way to find out how long you've been on mastodon?

or to find your earliest toots?

@Nine yes! it's what I've been wanting from social networks for years! I've only been here... 2 weeks?
and already I feel like it's been worth it, unlike birdsite, which I've been on for a month and a half and already want to delete

@TipsyTentacle *tries to throw you in, but stumbles and accidentally falls in herself*

@LottieVixen someone said to me the other day "spending $100 on a weekend out isn't really that much", and I just had no idea how to respond to that

@Elizafox I really want to stop using steam, but I was convinced it was great a few years ago and bought half of my game library there, so until I'm done with all those games, it's gonna be there ::(

Alright, I made a solution that actually works!

The challenge was to make a stack with a findMin function that could give you the smallest value in the stack in constant time.

This doesn't do that, but it does average better than just looking through the stack (although the tree isn't balanced, maybe I should do that...)

tagging @LottieVixen, who told me about the problem
computerfairi.es/media/GurlBHQ

this is the mastodon content you have come to crave and love

awoo

In the end I think Twitter's allowed post length is not the problem; the problem is that our culture's media and political class have chosen as their primary forum a medium that's best suited to jokes.
