A lonely robot decided to investigate

- I will investigate, it said

It climbed the mountain by the city and there it found an old woman with a cauldron brewing holograms

- There you are, it said
- There I am, she replied

Happy with it's investigation the robot went back to town. It sat under a tree to enjoy the rainfall

The humans had been missing for months. Robots anxiously gathered in the streets

- I think they went on lunch break, said one
- For six months? Don't be ridiculous, replied another
- One mentioned something about ice cream, said a third
- Ice cream? Not your typical lunch break then
- Will you stop talking about lunch break?

Years, decades, centuries went by. They build a robot civilisation with the most brilliant AIs

And yet the lunch break rumour never quite died out
