shells

a month and a half ago
"let's try out this different OS!"
"Oh, it's cool, but it doesn't have fish as the shell... oh well, I guess it's ok"

"oh, I can't do this thing in zsh... I guess I should set up fish sometime"

*sets up fish*

me today
"gosh fish is so much prettier and easier than zsh... how did I spend so long without it"

*sees a glowing rectangle laying on the table*
*naps on it*

Oh my gosh some random on the street just asked me if I was a man or a woman

I guess I'm much closer to "passing" than I thought???

academics; depression

yall nearly a full quarter of nonbinary cornell students said they were unable to function academically for AT LEAST A WEEK, **FIVE OR MORE TIMES** in 2017

so if you're out there struggling in college know that you're not alone and academia is fucked actually

mental health (~)

I wish I could reflect the happiness my friends bring me back onto them, so I could bear the burden of the pain and misery their depression brings them instead, while they can live their lives filled with the joy that they bring me

talking about my sexuality

So I'm demisexual - I only feel attracted to people *after* forming an emotional connection

But I realised the other day - I don't think I get sexual thoughts towards someone unless they encourage them/are openly lewd?

Because there are people who I have very strong connections with that I've never felt sexually attracted to - including Janet. And the thing that ties all those people together? They've never offered lewd stuff before

general apology

hey, sorry if I flirted with you without your consent or made you uncomfy

I'm trying to be better at distinguishing between flirting and complimenting, and avoiding flirting when I haven't got consent, but I'm still making mistakes and I'm sorry
