@soren Slight problem: activitypub servers stop traversing threads at some point (up to implementation to decide) so after we get more than like 10 or so we may end up with forks on the chain (what I mean by this is two users signing the same message)
@colon_three @jk I got really concerned for a second that you had music inside an XML file or something absurd like that
I removed the panel on the side of the machine and I think that is the only reason it's continuing to run right now
deadnaming discussion
@garfiald @sexybenfranklin @tibius Alternative way to think about it: lots of authors will publish their books under fictional names
@BraixenIRL What language are you using anyways?
@BraixenIRL Firstly, hopefully you have lots of ink (I did a similar thing and ran out of ink very quickly). Also, it's fairly simple. You just take the `code=` parameter on the request you get back from the user and validate it. For example, you could set a cookie on the response that ties that user (whose details you got from validating the param) to that browser
@slice Oh I didn't see that button, but yeah sort of. The idea is you drag a slider in the middle to move between it back and forth so you can adjust how much of it is black and how much of it is white
@slice Would be cool if you could adjust the black/white thing with a handle between the two sides
Earlier today I was reminded of a shenanigan from 2015 in where @scunning and I took an Apple Lisa 2 to the Apple store on April Fool's day. The employees ended up getting a huge kick out of it, they found it a lot more entertaining than people who tried to fool them with cracked screen iPhone wallpaper. https://retro.social/media/-dz5mwjWsY58n65VFRw
