i have a desk in front of a window now and it's pitch black outside so all i see is the reflection of the indoors and i just moved a paw and had a microsecond panic thinking something was moving outside and i may have failed the mirror test

@bayounetta where'd you get them? i can't source anything but boring black these days

Last night, I got really frustrated about Mastodon's lack of comment control.

To me, this feature is an absolute must -- and is critical to community safety.

So what did I do?

I looked for it on other Fediverse platforms!

Then I found that it existed on Streams (see screenshot).

When I mentioned that this existed, devs from Epicyon and Pinetta told me that this is a feature they're developing too.

Moral: if something doesn't exist on Mastodon, the Fediverse might still have it!

anyone knows a good reliable source of sony NP-F550 batteries in the UK? we bought a couple replacement ones branded HENJOY a while ago and they're already dead as a doornail

@Blake ethical, perhaps not but i don't feel qualified to discuss. legal absolutely

@tinymira @SteelWool do note though that it's entirely honour system with those making the bots and not an actual feature otherwise i wouldn't be able to follow people

discord has a pay-to-win model and too many schmucks are falling for it

i don't understand people who pay for discord nitro other than to show off that you have money to waste on a company that runs a comparatively dogshit service with bugged as hell mobile ports and to create a caste divide with other people who aren't paying for it

the post was not near the mastodon-standard 500 character limit (which is not imposed by activitypub and therefore different federation software can have a different limit) nor are we paying per character on the internet

there's really no reason to shorten "accessibility" or "therefore", other than, ironically, hurt accessibility

in the context i'm complaining about t/f apparently (i'm assuming, since the source post had no clarification) means therefore, not to be confused with tf meaning transformation
