this is supposedly an issue with intel wi-fi cards and the fact that linux has a wi-fi power saving mode that's not meant to be used but ships as enabled anyway and yet even disabling the power save doesn't fix the issue because linux is bad

thinkpads and linux a match made in heaven if heaven is rebooting every 30 minutes because linux decided you suddenly don't actually have a wi-fi card

@ludonaut @jk every once in a while i pick up an old laptop that still has a 1024x768 screen and there's something so refreshing about how things need to look in order to fit in it and it makes me feel we lost something along the way
