i want to frequent spaces like furcadia and second life again like i used to decades ago but they seem like ghost towns where the only people who live there only ever talk to others they know and it's impossible to meet new people or join groups you're not already a part of. i've had some luck finding new spaces on IRC but i keep bouncing off it. i don't know how to find new places online or meet new people. if you want to like/favourite/heart this post you are signing a contract to help me.

@bri_seven tempting but 9x only supports 1.2 which is deprecated and somehow feels like even more trouble than using win32 api

did everybody who published a crude win 9x game teach themselves raw GDI or is there a simpler library out there somewhere?

im learning gdi

what can i use library-wise if i want to make a visual program that runs on win98 up to win10? old SDL?
