Doctorow discourse

Jesus fucking Christ, Cory, this is patently ridiculous.

He doesn't engage with Audre Lorde's actual intention & meaning. No, he brings up a Black woman thinker/writer/activist, assures us he knows how "smart" she was, & then dismisses her words out of hand without even superficial engagement by using a cute little analogy.

I'm not trying to nitpick: that is some real colonizer bullshit.

New Secret Area post: On random memes, old game shows and "Glunch."

A meme among me and a few friends goes from a silly image on Tumblr to me discovering the show the image is from. One of my nerdy pop culture journeys.

Shares and comments appreciated!

I came across a functioning coder today asking if a kilogram was 1000 or 1024 grams.

Yes they did ask, yes they verified, yes they accepted 1000 grams.

I swear ten thousand years in the future some fucker will 'oops, black hole!' 'cos they began in comp sci and learned kilo = 1024 first and NOBODY WILL CATCH IT. Humanity will be WIPED OUT because YOU LOT KEPT THIS SHIT UP.

at some level you have to be impressed with the ease and frequency with which the thought "i want to kill myself" can crop up in your head

another beautiful comment to “she danced in the wind like a holographic dream”

“Your ability to write words both painful yet healing is the most breathtaking part of this game poem.”

The latest game poem by @alienmelon hits so hard.

It's time to throw the horrors away and plant gentle flowers.

killer tofu by the beets is unironically like the perfect rock song

What are we using for iOS podcast apps? I’ve used Overcast for years, but I don’t want to give its developer my money anymore

i could of resembled that remark but i could care less about giving you a sneak peak
